WOL Application

About S1 wake up on LAN (WOL), below my set comments for your reference;
1.       Set the Host IP address in the LAN TCP/IP properties on the host machine, save it;

2.    Turn on the workstation (MCP73) ,enter into CMOS and set “WOL(PME#) From Soft-off” to enabled option;ACPI sets S1, save and exit CMOS;

       

3. Enter into windows system, set the “allow this device to bring the computer out of standby” (workstation)

   

4. Full in IP address, the IP address need the same area range with host IP address; save it after full in IP address ;( Workstation)

    

5. Find out workstation board’s MAC address by ipconfig/all ----00-00-5A-00-00-08 ;(workstation)  

6. Choose “power on one host” in the Magic packet utility software on the host machine; (attached file is Magpac software)

  

7. Full in the workstation MAC address in the destination Ethernet address option on the host machine;  
8. Click standby key on the workstation machine;
9. Click sends the key to wake up the workstation machine by the Magic software; Remark: The WOL software download from below of link address;

1.Adjust DRAM Timing to enabled status,below of picture;

         How to flash BIOS for CMOS checksum bad on screen

Platform Configuration:

1. RS780G Main board
2. AMD CPU, MEMORY, HDD etc;
3. Windows XP or Vista operation system;
Issues：
1.      There always hint CMOS checksum bad on screen, as following picture;

2.      CMOS can not be save whatever change any setting options;  

Solution:
       Flash BIOS by WinSPI tools under Windows or Vista operation system; about how to use WinSFI tools, please following detail steps introduction;
1.      Power on and press F2 enters into Window OS.
2.      Choose WinSFI.exe to double click;

3．Display below picture after double click, please click “OK” button;

4. Select “File” option to open “load BIOS & flash” button;

5. Please choose BIOS file and then click “open” button;

6．There will display Load BIOS menu, please click “yes” button to flash BIOS;

7.  Please click “yes” button after flash BIOS complete and then restart your PC;

8．Please press “F1” key to load default the BIOS when display following menu;

                 Side Port Memory Introduction

                   AMI BIOS Flash under Vista operation system

Needs to choose administrator status to open afuwin.exe and then flash BIOS ;

1. Right click afuwin.exe and choose "run as administrator" option to execute the file ;  

2. Anon method as same as windows XP flash BIOS;

                        Hybrid SLI Application for MCP78

Platform Configuration:

Setting Steps：

1.      Install memory, CPU, HDD,ODD device etc, LCD connect with onboard VGA;
2.      Turn on PC and then click “Del” key enter into CMOS and choose 
      “AdvancedèChipset” option to set(as below picture 1);
      a).Primary Graphics AdapterèInternal VGA First;
      b).iGPU and Ext-VGA SelectionèBoth Exist and iGPU by Frame Buffer Detect;
      c).iGPU Frame Buffer Sizeè256MB

3.     Save CMOS and power off, insert NV 8400GS graphics card into PCIE16X slot.
4.    Power on and then install Vista32 bit operation system, please install MCP78_72_1808_Vista32 chipset driver after install operation system complete; notice that need not install “NVDIA Display Driver” when install chipset driver(as below picture 2);

5.      Install audio and LAN driver driver after chipset driver install complete;
6.      Enter into Vista system, in “start” menu please click “run” and then input 
     msconfig,click“OK” button to run user account control(as below picture 3);

7.      Open system configuration ,search “Tools” option and then pitch on “disable UAC” option,click “Launch” to prohibit(as below picture 4);

8.      It’s normal when display below picture 5 ;please turn off the window;

9.      Please click “OK” button on the system configuration windows to complete setting(as below picture 6);and then operation system will be hint to restart ;

10.      Enter into operate system and then install SLI driver(version is Hsli174_13_Vista32)
       complete and then restart operation system; please link below website  about SLI

11.      After finish restart, need select “Boost Performance” under right side of taskbar “NVIDIA Hybrid SLI mode” (as below picture 7);

12.      There will shine once on the screen;

13.      Then right key click personalize (as below picture 8);

14.      Please choose “windows Color and Appearance” in Personalization (as picture 9)

15. There will display Appearance settings ,please choose “windows Aero” in color
     scheme menu and then click “OK” button;(as picture 10)

16. There will display “windows color and appearance”,please click “OK” button to finish
     SLI setting;

  

Remark:
1.     LCD connect with Onboard VGA connector only when application
     Hybrid SLI function; not connect with external graphics card; below
     picture for your reference;
2.     There has Vista32 bit Hybrid SLI driver ,not others OS driver;    

 

              HOW to make AMI Flash Utility? (for windows version)

1.Copying the "afuwin.exe" file into USB disk or onto desktop of windows,

2.Selecting and executing the "afuwin.exe",see following pictures,

3.Following below steps,

3-1.Selecting afuwin.exe file ,and run it,

3-2.There will display warning information,please click "ok"button, (as below picture)

3-3. Pressing "Open" button,

3-4.Selecting the ROM file .Ex "JRS78011.ROM",

3-5.Selecting the item "program All Blocks, Main BIOS Image, Boot Block,NVRAM" and " Do Not Check ROM ID,Restart after programming " and "Load ROM File's Optimal" just like bellowing dialog box,

3-6.After selecting ok for the options,pressing "Flash" button to start flash, seem like below picture,

4.After finishing all the steps,the machine will auto restart.

                   Hybrid Crossfire Application

Platform Configuration:

1.RS780G Mainboard
2.ATI HD2400 Graphics Card (Lowest configuration Graphics Card)
3.AMD CPU,MEMORY,HDD;
4.VISTA 32 bit(only have Vista 32 bit driver at present) 

Setting Steps：

1.       LCD connect with onboard VGA ,post on install Vista 32 bit OS.

2.       Enter into CMOS and choose “IGFX-GFX0-GPP-PCI” in the Primary  

          Video Controller option after install Vista 32 bit OS.

       

3.    Save CMOS and power off , insert ATI HD2400 graphics card into PCIE16X slot.
4.    Power on and enter into Vista OS, install 8.457 RC3 hybrid crossfire driver and reboot.

5.   Open ATI Catalyst Control Center, you will see a crossfire option that have Enable Crossfire on the right (just like following dialog box)  

     

6.  Select “v” in enabled crossfire option, there will display below picture,please

     click “Yes” key and will glint several seconds on the screen;

    

7.Please choose “OK” key to complete crossfire setting after glint several seconds on the screen;    

Remark:
1.      LCD connect with Onboard VGA connector only when application Hybrid Crossfire function; not connect with external graphics card; below picture for your reference;
2.      There has Vista32 bit Hybrid Crossfire driver ,not others OS driver;
